Dog Trainer Cheshire — We Train Even The Most Challenging Dogs
Dog Training in Cheshire That Gets Results
Liberty K9 Training was created for dog owners who feel they have exhausted every other option and still not found the help they need. We train all breeds with all problems — from puppies needing the right start to dogs with serious bite histories that other trainers have refused. Our training facility is at Gate Farm near Nantwich, in the centre of Cheshire, close to Crewe, Congleton, Chester, Northwich and the M6 and M56 motorways.

Residential Dog Training — your dog lives and trains with us for two to six-plus weeks. The most effective option for established behaviour problems and for owners who want professional results without delivering the programme themselves. From £2,000.
Dog Aggression Rehabilitation — our core specialism. We take on reactive dogs, dogs with bite histories, resource guarders and dogs recommended for euthanasia. Residential rehabilitation from £3,000.
One-to-One Training Sessions — five hours of personalised training across four sessions at our Nantwich facility, working on your dog’s specific issues with you handling the lead. £600.
Day Training — we collect your dog, train it through the day and return it home. Ideal for owners working full time. £60 per day with a five-day minimum booking.
Puppy Foundation Training — get it right from the start with a two-week residential foundation programme (£2,000) or private lessons (£600), from eight weeks old.
IGP Dog Sport Coaching — tracking, obedience and protection coaching at every level, from foundations to championship preparation, with a coach who has competed ten times at the WUSV World Championship.
Why Cheshire Dog Owners Choose Liberty K9
Anyone can call themselves a dog trainer — the industry is unregulated. What separates Liberty K9 is a track record you can verify.
Paul Flanagan has trained dogs professionally for over 40 years across pet behaviour, police service dogs, explosives detection and international competition. He has represented Ireland at the WUSV IGP World Championship ten times, placing third in the world in 2013, and has been selected for Team Ireland at the 2026 World Championship in Slovenia. He is a NePoPo® Gold graduate and one of the few certified NePoPo® instructors in the UK.
Julie West is a qualified canine behaviourist, hydrotherapist and licensed IGP judge with over 15 years of training experience. Between them, our trainers bring more than 50 years of combined experience to every dog in our care.
That experience matters most with the difficult cases. A wealth of background in police and service dogs, IGP sport, breed-specific rescue, working trials, competition obedience, canine hydrotherapy and nutrition means there is very little we have not seen — and very little we will not take on.
Custom Everything — No Off-the-Shelf Programmes
Every dog and owner team is personally assessed before we recommend anything. A nervous rescue Collie, a working-line Malinois with no off-switch and a Dachshund that guards the sofa do not need the same programme, and we will not pretend they do. We design the training around your dog’s temperament, history and your goals — and we are honest about what can be achieved. We do not make promises we cannot keep.
The key to lasting results is that the training continues long after the programme ends. Every residential programme includes owner coursework while your dog is with us and a structured handover session when your dog comes home, so you understand exactly how to maintain what we have built.
